Türkiye connects with Spain and Latin America through Iberia and Pegasus Airlines’ new codeshare agreement

Iberia and Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines have signed a codeshare agreement that will allow both airlines to expand their network destination and enhance connectivity between Spain, Türkiye and other key markets.

Under this partnership, Iberia customers will now be able to travel to new destinations in Türkiye via Pegasus Airlines flights, marketed under Iberia’s code. This includes a direct flight between Madrid and Istanbul (Sabiha Gökçen Airport), with onward connections to seven domestic destinations: Izmir, Kayseri/Cappadocia, Ankara, Antalya, Dalaman, Bodrum and Adana.

On the other hand, Pegasus Airlines will place its code on Iberia-operated flights from Madrid to several destinations in Spain, Portugal, and Brazil. Pegasus customers will be able to travel to eleven Spanish cities — including Palma de Mallorca, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, La Coruña, Asturias, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Vigo, Malaga, Seville, and Tenerife North — as well as to Lisbon in Portugal, and to São Paulo via a connection in Madrid.

The booking system automatically accounts for the connection time between Iberia flights, which operate from Terminal 4, and Pegasus flights, which operate from Terminal 1 at Madrid-Barajas Airport, ensuring a smooth transfer experience for passengers traveling on codeshare itineraries. Additionally, the airport provides a free shuttle bus service between terminals, making transfers between flights easier and more convenient.
